Baby Boy Da Prince feat. Mannie Fresh: Naw Meen {Video}

About Baby Boy da Prince

Out of the West Bank of New Orleans comes the Prince of The City…Baby Boy da Prince. His career began at the age of 16 opening up for No Limit Records artist Choppa. Baby Boy created a name for himself in New Orleans with a lavish on stage performances and catchy feel good records.

Then in 2004 he stepped from behind the scenes and into the spotlight hooking up with a local management company, Bosshogg Entertainment (B.G., Juvenile, Choppa). After years of hard work, Bosshogg Entertainment inked a deal with indie label Extreme Entertainment.

Baby Boy hit the road in early 2005 to spread his music and fan base further outside of New Orleans. He went on tour opening for platinum acts, Juvenile, Paul Wall, 50 Cent, and many more. Then in August 2005 Baby Boy’s world came crumbling down as New Orleans was hit by Hurricane Katrina. Throughout the ordeal he vowed that he would get his life together and continue his dream of becoming one of Hip-Hops newest stars. Living in a FEMA trailer, Baby Boy began writing new material for his upcoming album. He continued to do shows in New Orleans to show his fans support.

In 2006 Q93 in New Orleans began to play his hit single “The Way I Live”. The single became an instant hit and in 3 weeks was the number 1 record at the station. Baby Boy had reached a new plateau and proved that his music could perform with the best artists in the country. The buzz in the city started to spill over and major labels began to take notice. Universal Republic Records jumped on the opportunity and signed Baby Boy as their premiere Hip Hop act.

Kelly Rowland Promo Pics & Tracklist

Here are the promo pictures for Kelly Rowland's new album, Miss Kelly and apart from the first and the third picture I don't like them at all. Kelly is a beautiful girl so there is no reason for the pictures to look so fake and plastic. She looks like an overdone black barbie. Not a good look at all!

Rap-Up got an exclusive listen to Miss Kelly and they did a review of the official tracklist. View the review here

12. “This Is Love”

Almost six of these tracks have been floating around the internet since last year and although some are good especially, Flash Back they are far from sensational. I hope the rest of the tracks are better so Kelly can finally release a solid album, move away from Beyonce's shadow and get the recognition she truly deserves. Saying that, Rap Up's Favourite track is Like This and that makes me a bit worried because as I have said before I am not feeling it all I don't think it is strong enough for a first single. I hope this is purely a case of personal taste and not representative of the album as a whole.

Ne-Yo Covers The Ave Magazine

The Def Jam crooner admits that he was grateful to be signed as an artist to the label helmed by Shawn "Jay-Z" Carter, but he was already experiencing multi-platinum success as an award winning songwriter.

Ne-Yo tells The Ave magazine that: "The songwriting thing was doing really well for me. I already made a million dollars before I even got to Def Jam, so it's not like I needed what they were offering. I wanted it, but I didn't need it."

Rihanna's "Umbrella" Video Captures

Def Jam Platinum recording artist Rihanna is back with a new single "Umbrella" featuring Jay-Z from her forthcoming album "Good Girl Gone Bad," due in stores June 5.

Rihanna enjoyed a tidal wave of industry acclaim in 2006 with her second album A Girl Like Me, and its back-to-back #1 hits, “S.O.S.” and “Unfaithful.” At the 2006 Billboard Music Awards on December 4th, she took away four top honors, including Female Artist of the Year, Female Hot 100 Artist of the Year, Female Pop 100 Artist of the Year, and Hot Dance Airplay Song of the Year for “S.O.S.” She finished out the year as guest performer on Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve spectacular.

A Girl Like Me was the follow-up to Music Of the Sun, Rihanna’s debut album of 2005, featuring her #1 Dance hit “Pon De Replay,” a traffic-stopper in the U.S. and Europe that was certified a triple-platinum digital download by the RIAA. With its infectious taste of “Tainted Love” (the Soft Cell classic), “S.O.S.” became Rihanna’s second world wide phenomenon – hitting #1 in the U.S. and Canada, the Japanese International chart, the Australian singles chart, and European airplay chart.

Personally signed by Def Jam president and CEO Shawn “JAY-Z” Carter, Rihanna is a unique role model for West Indians back home and around the world. She created Believe, a public charity organization dedicated to assisting terminally ill children worldwide. Its mission is to assist and inspire children who suffer from life-threatening diseases including cancer, leukemia and AIDS. Believe raises funds and awareness for medical research, as well as for individual and institutional medical needs. The vision of Believe is to achieve what Rihanna has always strived for in her remarkable music career - “to inspire with hope, courage and love.”
